ÌýShare with district and school leaders

The ɬÀï·¬ Education Agency (TEA) would like to invite school and district leaders to recommend distinguished classroom teachers, specialists, and/or principals to be included in the ɬÀï·¬ Distinguished Educator Talent Pool. These educators may be considered for membership to advisory boards and task forces, as well as candidates for special recognition programs.Ìý

We are very fortunate to have a rich base of veteran educators represented in our current talent pool. They have been and continue to be a valuable resource in our state efforts. What is particularly lacking though is representation from educators relatively new to the profession who demonstrate unusual instructional leadership ability. Such persons exhibit strong potential for professional leadership and an inspiring presence that impacts students, colleagues, and community.

Please provide CONFIDENTIAL, succinct, and specific information for the candidate(s) you recommend to the Distinguished Educator Talent Pool. Candidates must be building-level personnel who have at least five years of experience in education. Of special interest are educators who are outstanding and have not received other recognition. For each individual you recommend, please complete:

  1. The Distinguished Educator Talent Pool Survey (click Ìýto access)
  2. A one-page narrative letter of recommendationÌý(directions to upload at the link above)
  3. If possible, a resumeÌýof the candidate (directions to upload at the link above)

ÌýPlease note that candidates will not be considered for the talent pool if missing items one or two on the list above. We ask you keep this recommendation CONFIDENTIAL and do not share it with the individual or collaborate with a colleague to complete. Please submit the Distinguished Educator Talent Pool Survey (including additional documents) by May 17, 2019.

We look forward to working with you as we continue our efforts to recognize the distinguished educators in the state. For more information, please contact Allison Friedlander.

Sincerely,

Martin Winchester
